The SCGA Junior Girls Committee hosted their first outing of the year on Jan. 3 at Wilshire CC. Twenty-five girls who are active VAULT members had the opportunity to play 9-holes of golf followed by a special shopping event. The Girls Committee has taken on the initiative of collecting golf clothing and equipment to be distributed to junior golfers. Their efforts paid off and each participant was able to go home with some special items.
Golf equipment will also be distributed at the monthly SCGA Junior Clinics and Play Days. These events are open to all junior golfers and feature an hour golf clinic followed by 9-holes of golf, all for just $5! The next clinic is on Saturday, Jan. 19 at Sun Valley GC in La Mesa.
