The SCGA Foundation would like to thank The Coeta and Donald Barker Foundation for supporting Youth on Course with a new grant for 2012. This grant will specifically subsidize 1,200 rounds of golf for juniors in Southern California.
The Coeta and Donald Barker Foundation was established in 1977 in Eugene, OR. After Donald Barker’s passing in 1980, Coeta relocated to the Coachella Valley and continued with her Foundation, donating regularly to both California and Oregon charities.
“The Foundation continually supports education for Southland youth, along with after-school activities that offer juniors a chance to participate in something they otherwise would not be able to do,” said Coeta and Donald Barker Foundation President Nancy G. Harris. “The SCGA Foundation offers these criteria through their Youth on Course Program. It was a perfect match for our Foundation to support.”
Since its inception in 2008, Youth on Course has subsidized more than 60,000 rounds of golf and 80,000 buckets of balls for more than 4,000 juniors in Southern California. Registration and renewals for 2012 Youth on Course memberships are now available. Click below to get started.
