Family: There’s my better half, Carmen, two kids, four grandkids (so far!) and Charlie, our dog.

Volunteer and committee involvement: With SCGA Junior Golf Foundation – I always look forward to seeing the kids, parents and coaches creating a community with a brighter future. I also enjoy being a member of the Scholarship Committee.

Favorite musician: Carlos Santana; favorite band would be a toss up between Yes, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin

First car: 1970 Chevy Malibu, but my favorite car was my Jeep Wrangler – fun!

What Steve would say to interest more juniors: It’s a sport anyone can do. With a little coaching and practice, you are in the game. Where you take it beyond that first swing is up to you. Beyond the sport, golf is a way to meet great people, make friends and build camaraderie. What better way to spend a few hours than being outdoors, getting some exercise and socializing.
