If you couldn’t do what you would be doing now as a profession, you would be a?

What does supporting junior golfers mean to you? I was fortunate to grow up in a family of golfers. I also shared this great sport with my two sons. They were both competitive golfers, playing in SCGA Junior golf tournaments. While traveling with them to different events at many Southern California public and private golf courses, I was able to determine the need for more access to junior golfers. I am thrilled to be part of the SCGA Junior Golf Foundation to help promote and support junior golf.

A Golfer’s Journey:

How long have you been golfing for? Who introduced you to the game of golf? My entire life. My dad.

What is your favorite club in your bag and why? My 26- degree hybrid. It’s so versatile. It can be used for approach shots that need to be hit high and land soft. It also isn’t too bad around the greens for chipping just off the fringe.

You have a free round at any golf course in the world, which are you choosing? Augusta National. Watching it on TV and having the opportunity to go to the Masters, it is a magnificent golf course. Both beautiful and difficult.

Dream foursome? Who’s in it and why? It would be a day of golf with my dad who is no longer with us and my two sons.

What would you tell juniors to interest them in the game of golf? Golf is a game that you can play your entire life. The relationships that you will build on the golf course are unlike any other sport. Why do you think many of the greatest athletes in the world are drawn to the game? Because it is hard to master. It’s a sport that you can travel and play all over the world.

Beyond the Course:

What is something you wish more people knew about you? I’m passionate about giving back. I feel fortunate to be a part of the SCGA Junior Golf Foundation.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Learn how to learn. Be a good listener. And don’t suck! Seems harsh but makes sense!

What song or book has significantly influenced your life, and in what way? The Richest Man in Babylon. Parables that teach the secrets to financial success. It’s a simple book but it had a big impact on me right after I graduated from college.
