MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS

Shani Waite
Southwest Los Angeles
As a junior golfer, Shani grew up in SCGA Junior programming, using her Youth on Course membership and eventually became a SCGA Junior Golf Foundation Scholar. She went on to play collegiate golf at Texas Prairie View A&M University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Juvenile Justice.

PRATIMA SHERPA
San Fernando Valley
Pratima Sherpa was born and raised in Nepal. She fell in love with the game, which transformed her life. This led her to earn a bachelor’s degree while playing collegiate golf and to build over a decade of global competitive, instructional, and junior-mentoring experience. She has always followed two mottos in her life: “Hard work always pays off” and “Nothing is impossible”.

CAMERON SPEIGHTS
Southwest Los Angeles
Cameron helps oversee all programming and serves as the lead golf coach at beginner, intermediate and advanced practices in Southwest LA. Cameron started playing at Maggie Hathaway GC and has worked as a golf instructor at TopGolf and Maggie Hathaway. He graduated from Johnson C. Smith University where he competed on the men’s golf team.

Kerry Valenzuela
Southeast Los Angeles
Kerry brings nearly 5 years of experience, energy and passion to our programs. He has coached over 250 group classes, all rooted in the U.S. Kids Golf curriculum, and holds a Level 1 U.S. Kids Golf certification. He leads most of our on-course events and provides valuable mentorship and support to fellow coaches as we continue to grow our SELA presence.
