Jennifer got her start with the SCGA as the 2010 USGA Boatwright Intern. She joined the SCGA Junior staff at the conclusion of her internship and now manages the Golf Pass and Scholarship programs while focusing on increasing educational and mentoring opportunities. She assists with fundraising efforts by planning special events such as the annual Golf Marathon.
Born and raised in Orange County, Jennifer made the decision to go out of state for college and graduated from the University of Michigan. She then earned her Masters in Sport Management from Cal State Long Beach (having become appreciative of the SoCal weather). In her spare time she enjoys cheering on the Wolverines and playing soccer.
What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
“The most enjoyable part of my job is attending golfing events with our kids and hearing the participant reflections at the end of each day. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the kids in our program practice their public speaking and talk about what they learned from their mentor.”
What is your dream golf foursome?
“Peyton Manning, Greg Norman and my dad! Peyton is my all-time favorite professional athlete, Greg Norman is the first golfer I remember following as a kid and my love of golf came from spending Sunday afternoons watching the final round of PGA Tour events with my Dad (he’d also be there to coach me through the round!).”
