Meet Samantha Villapando
Samantha Villapando has been playing golf since she was three years old. She gained a passion for playing because of her parents, as they would always take her out to the course and play. Samantha played on her golf team for four years in high school and now attends Biola University where she is a freshman majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. She hopes to become a trainer or a coach in the future. When Samantha isn’t hitting the books, she loves to visit nearby Disneyland!
What is the most enjoyable part of your job:?
I get to be around other athletes and I get to be a coach for a sport I love to play. Every class I go to is always fun because of the kids and the amazing other coaches I get to work with.
What’s the best part about working with kids?
The kids remind me what it’s like to let loose a bit and bring me back to when I was their age which was not that many years ago. Also, being able to see their energy, willingness and determination they have of wanting to learn and become the best golfer they can be is very encouraging and makes me love coaching even more.
