Desi Domingez

Golf Instructor

Desi completed two years as a Coach in the Coach Across America program for the SCGA Junior Instruction Program at Pico Rivera GC and Norwalk GC. She has continued her professional development by becoming certified as a sports-based youth development coach.  In her new role as the USGA P.J. Boatwright, JR Intern, Coach Desi works full time for SCGA Junior, and still attends instruction on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s at Pico Rivera GC.

A four-year golfer at Western High School, Desi played collegiate golf for one year at Fullerton Community College before transferring to California State University, Fullerton. She graduated from CSUF in May of 2015, where she earned a degree in sociology. Desi is also a SCGA Junior Scholar.

What’s your most memorable experience with SCGA Junior?

“I don’t have just one. From starting in the Golf Pass program, to becoming a scholar and now coaching, I couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of SCGA Junior.”

What’s your dream foursome?

“Tiger Woods, George Lopez and Coach Justin. Tiger Woods because he opened the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Anaheim, where I attended. George Lopez because he is always giving back to the community and took the time to speak with my mom, helping her raise money for breast cancer. And Coach Justin because he’s one of my mentors, always helping me with my swing and believing in me.”
